About Me
Hi, I'm Oleg. I'm originally from Russia and I'm currently living in Antalya, Turkey.
​
I am an as-native English speaker with a standard, neutral North American accent and over twenty-three years' experience in teaching English and Russian as foreign languages, ESP to students of economics, mathematics, psychology and biology departments, Business English, Academic Writing, American Studies and Professionally Oriented Translation.

I have taught all age groups from preschool to university levels in Russia, Turkey, Thailand and China.
I hold an MA in TEFL and Linguistics.

Oleg is a very very brilliant teacher. He is so passionate and knowledgeable when he teaches us in the class that I do like him. Since he went back to his country，we have been missing him.

Oleg Iovenko was my English teacher in my first year at university. I was a translation and interpreting studies student and, because of this I have encountered a lot of good English teachers in my education life. Yet, Oleg was way different than others in terms of teaching quality, friendship, sense of humour, innovation, and sincerity. He was so nice that it's been many years since the time I was his student; however, I still talk about him every time a conversation comes up related with English classes.
He is someone who never lets you get bored in the class and always finds fun stuff to catch all the attention. I remember once he came to class with sushi ingredients and made California rolls for everyone. we had a lot of fun and now I can understand better how it was efficient to attract everyone in the class to keep the participation.
He also used to spend almost his all time at the breaks with the students by interacting one by one in a very friendly and sincere manner. He has been always very good to us and been someone that we would never forget (especially his sincere lovely smile!)
It was an absolute honor to know him and be his student. Being Oleg's student is always a privilege. Furthermore, I'd like to thank him for being such an inspiring role model to me.

During my university education, I took an English course on weekday evenings. Thanks to Oleg, despite getting tired after University lessons of Chemistry, I was never bored and tired in my English classes. His classes had several activities to understand every single detail about the language. As a teacher he tries to explain all the rules about English and how all those rules can be used or bent.
By the way he was not only a teacher for me but also an elder brother. In the class we got lessons as written in the books but after classes we got lessons from his brotherhood. Thanks God for giving me an immaculate brother.

Oleg was my first foreigner teacher at Web International English in Beijing. At first I was afraid he would have a strong Russian accent but the anxiety was unnecessary - he doesn't have any Russian accent. I feel his accent is the same as American.
He is a very handsome guy and a very responsible teacher and he is also stringent - looking at the clock is not allowed in his class!
He taught me for half a year. I think during that time all of my classmates loved his classes because he is very humorous and he always sang English songs in his class and taught us to sing.
We felt so sad when he left China. We miss him so much!
